Wedding Pictures!

Hello everyone! It's been a while hasn't it? Well I should be receiving our wedding pictures and wedding video today! Our photographer posted a few (8) of the pictures on her website if you want a glimpse. I gotta say though the ones she posted weren't the best. I only really like the 2 black and white ones. So hopefully I will like the rest better! :/
So I gotta say I LOVE married life, though it mostly seems no different but there are those times where it feels so different, and I absolutely love it. I get excited for those very moments. John has been so great, the best husband ever! As most of you know he started school, which makes me super proud of him, but also makes "us" time really hard and it gets rough not seeing each other as much as we would like to. But then again when we do get our time together it just makes it that much more special. I personally have been having a hard time with some sleep issues with nightmares, more like night terrors and John has been so great and helping and working through it all with me. Though they have yet to go away its nice to have him there to comfort me and calm me down. They definitely are taking their toll on me and John. So hopefully all that will get resolved soon. But back to the reason for the blog entry! I will be creating a new blog page with John and I as a married couple with the wedding pictures and video (hopefully the video) on it seems how this was a blog about the wedding and now the wedding is over I thought it would be appropriate to switch it and then I can blog more about our lives together and separately with out the chaos of the wedding planning. So the new blog site will be up and running this weekend! I have already got the url address and name of the blog but nothing is on it yet, but here is the url and name of the blog: johnandsarapreston.blogspot.com and the name of it is Picture Perfect. Check List

Well now, lets make an updated check list shall we? Seems how I got the tiaras for the girls, and I got the bridesmaids gifts, Davids picture is framed and looks great! My bridal picture is done and framed as well. I got to say that it is HUGE! I didn't realize how just massive a 16x20 is. The rose pedals are purchased, we got a big container of red pedals, a medium container of black and a small container of white. I think that will compliment the black isle runner quite nicely.

So that just leaves....

01. Pick up the tuxes on Wednesday the 12th

02. Get dress cleaned on Friday the 7th

03. Get garter

04. Get twelve 4x6 picture frames

05. Get a card holder

Now that's it!!! Wahoo. Wednesday morning my mom(maybe?) stepmom and sisters are going to go get a mani/pedi to make sure we are nicely groomed before the wedding, kinda a nice way to relax for a little while before the big day!

10 DAYS!

Did you all hear?

Did you hear? John and I's wedding is doomed! Its going to be a total mess, and we will just get divorced in a few years anyways, according to one sister of mine who has been removed from the wedding. I had one of the hardest days of my life yesterday. But I already have a much better and happier choice already in place. So thank you Amanda you truly are the best friend I always knew you were and sister that I wish I had instead of the one who said such hurtful things to me yesterday. I knew this whole time what she (the sister who shall not be named because just the look of her name makes me sick to my stomach) would do when the wedding was closing in on us. She just proved to everyone all over again that she is selfish, vindictive, vengeful, hateful, and a jealous person who feels the need to try to bring people down to her level just to make herself feel better about the situation. I have so many emotions going through me right now that I just don't even know how to deal with them. I'm sad, hurt, stressed, disgusted, and most of all LIVID! I don't deserve this and she knew that but who cares about my feelings, her daughters feelings, and the rest of the family. This is the last time she will ever hurt me, or even have a chance to. If there were a legal action to have someone disowned I would start the paper work today. The worst part about all of this is I will never see my nephew, even less than I do now. It makes me sick. But you know what I do get some satisfaction knowing that she has to live with her guilt and her corrupted conscience for the rest of her life and quite frankly that will be like a prison to her. I'm done with this, I'm moving on. My life will be better off.

The list of stuff to do!

We only have 2 weeks till the wedding (btw yay!) so I thought I could share what all we still had left to do. That and as I make this list I can refer back to it so I can make sure I don't forget anything ;).
01. I need to get my dress cleaned on the 7th. ( It got filthy during my bridals)
02. We need to pick up the tuxes on Wednesday the 12th.
03. Go get the rose pedals for the flower girls.
04. Get the tiaras for the flower girls from Michael's, for 4 bucks each! What a steal, plus I have a coupon for 40% off any item!
05. Get a card holder from walmart, They have some cute ones for way cheap.
06. Get David's picture framed.
07. Get overnight bag ready for when we leave the wedding reception.
08. Get my enlarged bridal picture framed.

09. Get my garter. 

10. Get 12 4x6 picture frames for each table at reception.

Well I think that's it, or can think of. If I think of more I will come in and edit this and update it.
14 days and counting!

Marriage License has been purchased!

We went and got our marriage license today! So we are technically married now. Wahoo!!!

Now we have 30 days from today to get it processed. Then we can get to the good stuff, like changing names. We also have gotten the menu for the rehearsal dinner taken care of and chosen.

Fruit Tray

Veggie Tray

Pasta Salad

Chips and Dip

Sound good? It's definitely not fancy but it's easy enough to get done after the rehearsal is done.

I didn't think we would want to come back after the rehearsal at 6 and just start to cook when we have such an early morning and some people live farther away than others. We have had a lot of offers on helping with the food, so thank you from all of you who are helping. It means a lot to us. I can't wait to see everyone! See you all in 17 days, some sooner than that! ;)

Fun stuff !!!

Hello, Hello!, HELLO everyone!

I have 2 things, First is just something I wanted to say.

So now that we are like 3 weeks to the wedding we are just winding down from it all and getting more and more excited with each passing day. Tying up loose ends. Well really that just means now we get to pay for it all now. Get to shell out the big bucks. :)

I really have been enjoying this process, the good, the bad, and ugly. I've definitely got to see sides of people that I didn't know they had. I have really sat back and really put a lot of thought into John and I, and how are lives will forever be changed by this and all for the better I believe. He and I are both far from perfect but I think we compliment each other and pick up the difference in one another. I totally have come to realize he has made himself a huge part of my heart and I thank god that he decided he wanted me forever cause I don't know what I would do with out him. I would be in pieces. I'm not sure anyone else would put up with the responsibility and the total reality of what comes with me. I'm pretty sure anyone else would have bailed. I can't believe it , that it's coming ( the wedding) so soon. It seems like just yesterday that he proposed. Though this has been one stressful process, I don't think I would change it. Thank you, all of you for helping with this. Being there when we needed you to be. We are forever grateful.

Now the 2nd thing is about the rehearsal.

This part is specifically for the parents, and wedding party.

The Rehearsal is Wednesday the 12th at 5:00 pm at the Canterbury place, 197 East 500 South Bountiful, Utah 84010

Once everyone is there I can't imagine it going longer than 45 minutes to and hour. Then immediately after that is finished we will be having a rehearsal dinner at my dads. All of John's family is welcome to come to that. And I will email the individual people in mine that are welcome to attend as well. My dads address is 872 West Porter Lane (2200 north) West Bountiful, Utah 84087. As of right now we don't have a menu to post about. However we are leaning towards a BBQ. Or something along the lines of one. When we have nailed down the details I will post more on that subject.

Invitations are MAILED!

So some exciting news! We have mailed the invitations today! So keep an eye out for them next week! I made sure I got them out today, and that sure did mean licking each envelope sticky thing to seal it till the taste of the solution they use for that is now permanently rotting in my mouth. Disgusting I know! But I had to get it done! So they are heading your way as we speak! :)

Bridals are DONE!

I finally did my bridals. It was really fun, she had me climbing and posing really unique ways. I did this one where I stood on the top of the very front of an old train. Very cool. We also used a lot of this old rickety wooden train car. Sounds weird I know but I'm sure it'll look cool. I really like our photographer. She is so creative she really uses everything around her to bring a modern and unique twist to everything she does. So she told me that she will mail me the pictures on Monday morning, and she only lives in Layton which is like 10 minutes from where we live so we should have them on Tuesday. I might post a few but I don't want to post too many in the off chance John could see em!

Mailing the Invitations

I will be mailing the invitations on the 12th! Finally! We only have like 6 weeks to the wedding, it's coming so quick! Just doing the final preparations during July and then it will be here. So exciting!
So people within the next couple weeks you should keep an eye out for yours! :D

John's Wedding Band has been ordered

Here is John's ring I ordered for him, It should be here sometime tomorrow! He is really excited as am I. Good right? He should be excited! It's a Tungsten ring, they are supposed to be the most durable material out there so he can't accidently destroy it. Not that he would but then again it is John we are talking about. lol. Just kidding. Kind of.

Flower girl dresses are finished completely!

They look so cute in them, Hope was with her dad on this day so I just had to deal with Savannah and Lexi but that's okay. They look adorable! I'm getting so excited I can barely stand it! :)

So I am getting addresses ready so we can get our labels for the invitations so please people if you haven't sent me your address yet then please do so SOON! Thats all for now.

Stress,stress, stress

So it's decided, if I get one more piece of bad news or disappointing news I just might have a melt down. I'm pretty sure I'm on my breaking point. Every time we get some kind of good news we get twice as many pieces of bad. It's a never ending battle that I can't seem to shake off. Thus the never ending reference. So here's whats going on, The weather changed back into being just overcast with no rain which apparently is the best lighting you can have when getting photographed outside so we decided to keep the bridal date for Friday June 5th. But then this morning it went back to being rainy tomorrow so we had to move it AGAIN to the 20th. Which I guess is fine. I was really excited I went and had my dress pressed so it would look great for the pictures and it wasn't exactly cheap and now we did it for nothing. So now that it's moved to the 20th my hair person can no longer do it cause she will be out of town. And everyone I call is either too expensive or doesn't work on Saturdays. (Really though? Why wouldn't you work on a sat?) Now all this may sound silly but with everything else that John and I have had to endure this just added to the frustration. There are people in my family that have been great through most of the planning process and then today I got news that I really wasn't okay with but really I can't do anything about it which again is frustrating cause what happened or what is going to happen isn't really fair to me and John on that day, so I said nothing in our defense. I really thought that for that one day people would just deal with whatever their problem was or upset about for us, so they could be there for us but I'm starting to see that, that is just not a realistic notion. And that really saddens me cause I thought my family do more for than that. I'm just ready to lock myself in a room where no one can call and gripe about anything else and if they had something to say then they just couldn't find me to do so. Everyone knows who they are that are being pretty horrible so no names are necessary. So I really hope things start to lighten up and start to be happy again cause this really isn't how it should be while planning such a celebration. People are losing focus of why they are there in the first place.

Invitations are here!

They are here people! I'm so excited, they look so good. However the dumb people sent the WRONG envelope size! These ones are too long and too short all in one! So my wedding consultant is calling them (hopefully as we speak) to have the correct size sent over. Soon I hope. I am supposed to mail them out about 6 weeks before the wedding which would be by like July 2nd. I think I did that right, :) Well anyways they are here and will be coming to all of you soon enough. Again if you haven't sent me your address please do so soon. It will be my task each week to hand address some until they are all eventually done. . Maybe I'll just use the computer and type them all up and then print them that sounds a little easier and less time consuming. I'm not going to post a picture cause I want them to be a surprise to all of you!

How frustrated am I?

Ugh. I'm so frustrated, the weather is not cooperating with me this week. It is supposed to be horrible weather this Friday, the day of my bridals. So I have to reschedule. I was so looking forward to this Friday to kinda get a glimpse into what the wedding day would be like. And how I would feel to be that dressed up and mother nature just crapped on my parade. :(

So as of now those pictures will be postponed until June 20th. Hopefully it will be nice weather that day. So everyone keep their fingers crossed for me. It was not the best weather the day we were supposed to have our engagements either, which forced us to change it, so I hope this isn't going to become a trend. But on a lighter note John did a wonderful thing and surprised me with news that he snuck off Friday after work and picked out the tuxedos for everyone and got himself measured. So that was nice of him to finally do (after I asked him 2 months ago to do it). Maybe he seen and felt how tense, frustrated, stressed, and anxious I have become now that it is getting closer. Either way and whatever the reason he helped and was great of him, I made sure I gave him an extra kiss for doing that. :)

My Shoes!

Here are my shoes I just bought for the wedding! Aren't they fun? I love 'em. Now we will see how well I do in them for my bridals, if they end up hurting my feet then I might have to buy a better pair. But for now I think these'll do. :)

Hair, invitations, addresses

Hello people!

Well their is much to discuss. First off we have ordered our invitations. We got our final proof today. I was going to post the picture of them but I decided that I would just have everyone wait till you got the invitations themselves. More exciting that way I think. Which leads me to my next thing to discuss, while I have received a lot of addresses I haven't gotten nearly everyones and now is definitely the time to get them. So if you haven't sent me your address please do so now. Or very soon anyways. I would say I need them no later than June 21st. So don't forget or you might not get the invitation. Now my last piece of info is I have my bridals in less than 2 weeks and I am super excited! I finally chose a hairstyle, and Grandpa Preston and Suzanne have sent me this amazing crystal watch to wear in the wedding. It really is perfect and I can't wait to wear it. It goes perfect with my dress. So thank you so much, I LOVE it. Here are the pictures of the watch and hairstyle. Hope you enjoy. It is getting so close to the wedding that I get so nervous just thinking about it. But I definitely get really excited. I'm so happy to be marrying John. I think he is so special and I'm definitely the lucky one here. And we are so happy to be sharing that day with all of you! :)

We should get a proof of our invitations in about a week then we should get all of them within 6 weeks. So that is pretty exciting! I can't wait to see them! I hope they turn out good.

Engagements

MY FAVORITES. SORRY ABOUT THE BIG GAPS. I CAN'T GET IT TO STOP DOING THAT. I HAVE MORE TO PUT UP BUT I RAN OUT OF TIME. SO I WILL PUT THE REST THAT WERE UP TOMORROW.

This is going to be so hard to choose. We got back like 110 photos. And we need to choose 3 for the invitations. ugh. decisions decisions. I'm so happy we have them though and that there is so many to choose from. Wouldn't that really be a bummer if we only got like 20 pictures and we only really liked 1. Our photographer did an amazing job! It just makes me that much more excited about my bridals and the wedding day. I know now with confidence that she will do a great job! So thank you so much Summer! :) Anywho I hope you all like the photos. I will get copies to people as soon as I get a chance. Love ya! Sara
